She graduated from Merit Technical Institute, Harrison, New Jersey (2005 – 2006) where obtained License Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate. She is a member both New Jersey and New York Board of Nursing. She also obtained LPN – Pre-requisites inBronx Community College, Bronx, New York.
She worked with Loving Care Pediatric Homecare Agency Fort Lee, New Jersey (2007 – 2009)
Sylvia joined her husband who works with UNICEF to Fiji Islands, Nepal and Bangladesh (2009 -2018) where she volunteered at hospitals and clinics to put her nursing experience at the disposal of the needy communities.
While in Fiji she was a strong women leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and founding member of the King’s court Chapel. She led the women to form the Choir and the Women ministry and cleaned the church compound, something she enjoyed doing. Evangelism as part of Soul winning was another skill, she acquired with her nine years with Redeemed Christian Church of God. She also enjoys bible studies and Children ministry.
Back to New York in December 2018, she works as an Independent Nursing Practitioner visiting patients with different health care challenges. She is caring and loving to her patients who turn to enjoy her services.
Prior to coming to New York in 1995, Sylvia performed Administrative and Secretarial Services as Executive Officer(1983-1995) at Office of the Head of Civil Service, Accra, Ghana, Ashanti Regional Administration, Kumasi -Ghana and Ministry of Trade and Tourism, Accra – Ghana.
Mrs. Masiku is a Board member of the Zealous Christian Professional Forum Inc and spends time on the management of the forum activities on voluntary basis. She attends meetings of the Board and takes part in the deliberations including policy decisions.
She brings to the Zealous Christian Professional Team, her nursing, administrative and secretarial skills and diverse multicultural exposure from various countries.
She is married to Rev. Dzidula with two children Blessing and Faithful.
