Mrs Mwansa Kafula Bwalya is a born-again Christian and holy spirit led. Born in a Christian family, Mrs Bwalya grew up learning about Christian life through Sunday School in the United Church of Zambia. She received Jesus as her personal savior in the year 2000 and decided to be zealous for him. As a daughter of a missionary, Mrs Bwalya believes in the power of prayer and has many testimonies she enjoys sharing with friends and family, of God’s power and love for mankind.
A holder of amaster’s degree in Business Administration, Mrs Bwalya is also a Chattered Certified Accountant (Association of Chattered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2013, Certified Internal Auditor (IIA)since 2018 and holder of a Honors Degree in Applied Accounts (2008) with more than 17 years broad experience in the United Nations and Private Sector. Her experience ranges from operations management, administration, procurement, finance, human resource management, budget management, programme management, planning, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. She is a seasoned accountant who enjoys working in fast moving, reputable organizations that provide challenges, encourage teamwork, motivation and continuous learning. An excellent team player and determined to rise to complex challenges, Mrs Bwalya is effective in team building, planning, and strategic thinking. Leading, implementing change and analyzing lessons learnt for action, advanced inter-personal communication, goal-oriented, highly motivated and strong work ethic. she enjoys overall Risk Management oversight in organisation’s, promoting ethics in the workplace and ensuring Value for money and accountability for results.
In her more than 17 years finance, audit and internal control strengthening career, Mrs Bwalya has held more than 7 different roles starting as a clerk and rising through the ranks to middle management in two UN agencies and private sector organizations. She has worked in more than five countries in Africa and Asia supporting organisation’s to build resilient systems that address risks present in the operating environment while remaining agile to respond to innovation and change.
Mrs. Bwalya is the Vice President of the Zealous Christian Professional Forum Inc and spends time on the management of the forum activities on voluntary basis. She chairs the Board in the absence of the President.
She brings a wealth of experience in establishing systems and support organisation’s demonstrate value for money and be accountable for results.
Mrs Bwalya is Married with four Children.
