Mr. Daniel Kofi Abuabasa is an individual who loves God and takes keen interest in doing God’s work. He demonstrates his love for God through the zeal and commitment he shows in executing his assignments in the Lord’s vineyard. Very early in his life, Mr. Abuabasa started using his God given talent – choral singing – to bring souls into the vineyard. He started serving as a choirmaster at the AnfoegaKpodzi E. P. Parish Church in 1981, where he proved that he was capable of teaching and conducting a choir, while he was teaching at the Anfoega Secondary School. He continued to Accra where he joined the Seraphim congregation of the E. P. Church in Kaneshie and became the choirmaster in 1985. During his choir leadership at Kaneshie, he helped to form the choir at Gbegbeyise E. P. Church also in Accra.
Because he wants God’s work to thrive and the church to grow, he does not hide, but rather offers his services willingly. He offered help in forming the Bibiani E. P. Church during his stay there for the brief period of 1989-1991, where he joined some vibrant young men and women to mobilize people and resources to build the church. Mr. Abuabasa in the same way, offered to help build the Mawuli congregation of the E. P. Church in New York City, displaying zeal and commitment in what he does for the church to move on.
Currently, Mr. Abuabasais the secretary of the Mawuli congregation and has been the choirmaster for as long as he has been there and has been instrumental in the growth and development of the congregation.
By profession, Mr. Abuabasa is a Statistician and a Mathematics teacher. He spent some years at the head office of the Ghana Statistical Service after teaching at Anfoega Secondary school in the Volta Region and Adanwomase Secondary school in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. While at the Ghana Statistical Service, he worked hard with commitment to earn the position of Head of the Statistical Standards and Methods Section, a position he held until he left for the United States.
In the United States, Mr. Abuabasa went back to the classroom to teach mathematics in the high school. He currently teaches at the JFK High school in Paterson, New Jersey, where he resides. He also teaches Quantitative Reasoning as an adjunct professor at the Eugene Lang College of The New school in New York City.
